Leon Panetta on healthcare reform

Leon Panetta discusses the prospect of comprehensive healthcare reform in light of the recently approved $700 billion economic bailout package. Panetta is a former US Congressman, serving in the House of Representatives from 1977 to 1993. He became Director of the Office of Management and Budget for the incoming Clinton administration, and in 1994, was appointed Chief of Staff to President Clinton. He served in that position until January 1997. Today, Panetta and his wife co-direct the Leon & Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy, which serves as a non-partisan study center for the advancement of public policy.
