The surgical planning software is comprised of a Java applet which contains the clinical history and treatment planning panels, and VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) windows which allow visualization of the 3D geometric model, pressure results, and flow movies.
Clinical History and Treatment Planning
Clinical history instructions - click on the appropriate button to select the type of images you wish to view. Sound is available on the vascular lab images by clicking on the waveforms. Use the "Next" and "Back" buttons to move through the images.
Treatment Planning Instructions - select the appropriate button for the treatment you wish to place. Since the solutions have been pre-computed, treatments to be submitted are limited to the following:
Lt iliac angioplasty / FF bypass
Lt iliac angioplasty / FF bypass / Rt FP bypass
AFB w/ EE prox anast
AFB w/ ES prox anast
After drawing one of these treatment options, click the submit button.
3D Geometric Models (VRML)
Instructions: Click the "GEOMETRY" button to view the 3D geometry. The default view is Pre-Op. Click on the Pre-Op tag to toggle between Pre and Post-OP.
Click and drag the mouse on the wheel to rotate, click and drag the mouse on the slider to pan the image up and down. Clicking the zoom in and out buttons will toggle between 100%, 200%, 300% views.
