AT/AAC Evaluations and Consultations

Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative Communication (AAC) services are provided to children in schools through their IEPs. We are a Non Public Agency through Packard Children’s Hospital.

Services include full multi-team evaluations, consultations, training, trouble shooting computer set-ups, material design and guidance in implementation.
Our evaluation process can be either single session or multi-session with the school and home team present. The evaluation process matches the students needs and abilities to characteristics or feature of AT and AAC technology. We take into consideration a student’s language and academic skills, communication modes, physical abilities and type of processing
These can take place in our center or in the classroom. The ATRC has a full range of computer equipment, adaptations, software, augmentative communication devices and resource books to use for clinical trials. Equipment can be customized as needed. (picture of chin switch?)
