Lane Library classes

The following short-term classes offered by Stanford's Lane Medical Library may be of interest to physicians:

WRITING FOR MEDICAL JOURNALS

In this two-hour evening class, we will examine the basics of creating manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications. We will study both the elements of good medical writing, and the process of assembling the various parts of a manuscript (e.g., organizing bibliographic references, constructing tables and figures, etc.). We will look at these issues from the point of view of the journal editor (aside from peer-review criticism of your science)
