Receiving snail mail?
Help your correspondents find you

Addresses must include your room number and mail code to get letters and packages from the mail room to you.

That’s the word from the SHC mail services team.
Your complete address includes:

• Facility
• Department name
• Room # and Mail Code
• Street address

Mail delivered form the U.S. Post Office showing only the facility and street name without any other identifying information will be returned to the Post Office.

(Items won’t be opened in the mail room to search for delivery clues).

The mail service team says that mail with any combination of room number and mail code will be delivered promptly.

If the address offers some clue, say a name or department, the Mail Services team will try to find you before returning the item to the Post Office, but this obviously might result in a delay.

For further information, contact Rey Damian, mail supervisor, RDamian@stanfordmed.org, or phone, (650) 724-5119.
