Faculty women honored in NLM exhibit

Six faculty members are listed in the National Library of Medicine's Exhibit on Women in American Medicine: Changing the Face of Medicine. The honorees are:

FRANCES CONLEY, retired professor of neurosurgery and former chief of staff at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System

LINDA SHORTLIFFE, professor and chair of the Department of Urology.

HELEN HOFSOMMER GLASER, a pediatrician and psychiatrist, who died in 1999.

IRIS LITT, professor of pediatrics and director of the Division of Adolescent Medicine.

Clinic Registration staff see only see those accounts that need to be processed by a Registration Specialist and can sort and filter their workload without having to view long, seemingly unrelated lists of accounts. The process also enables managers to monitor workload.

MARY LAKE POLAN, professor and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

JUDITH LEA SWAIN, cardiologist, professor and chair of the Department of Medicine.

The exhibit celebrates the accomplishments of women in medicine since they first gained entrance to medical school some 150 years ago.
