The 3rd Annual Clinical Update in Adult Medicine, presented by the Medical School and SHC, is scheduled Friday and Saturday, March 31 and April 1, at the Arrillaga Alumni Center at Stanford.
This two-day national conference will highlight the most recent advances in cardiac care, cancer treatment, transplant, orthopedics, neurology and neurosurgery. Designed for primary care practitioners, general surgeons, nurses, and interested allied health professionals who care for adult patients, the 3rd Annual Clinical Update in Adult Medicine will combine lectures and question-and-answer sessions. The program will offer participants the opportunity to discuss issues encountered in their practices.
Also scheduled is a pre-conference program on “Morbid Obesity: Causes, Evaluation, Implications and Treatment,” on Thursday, March 30. This one-day national conference will highlight clinical issues and innovations in the treatment of the overweight or obese adult and is designed for the primary care physician, nurse practitioner, nurse, and interested healthcare professional.
The CME Department is also offering “Complex Cardiovascular Patient Management,” highlighting current advances in the diagnosis and treatment of advanced heart disease, including heart failure, May 22-24, on the Big Island of Hawaii.
