Employee awards at year 45

Susan Moore, the nurse educator for the medical/surgical unit, was named the Thomas A. Gonda Employee of the Year at the 45th annual Stanford Hospital and Clinics award banquet.

The award's namesake is the late chair of psychiatry and a former hospital director.

Receiving other awards for service at the event banquet in November were:

Debra Kranz, acting supervisor, Patient Admitting Services;
Martha Hamilton, clinical pharmacist, Pharmacy Services;
Mark Burdelle, manager, Neurodiagnostics Lab;
Melissa Luna, manager, Purchasing, Receiving, Mail;
Chere Taylor, social worker, Department of Social Work and Case Management; and
Anna Dapelo-Garcia, Clinic Operations Manager.

Radiation Oncology received the Malinda S. Mitchell Quality Award, given annually to a department. Mitchell was a former chief executive officer of SHC.
