Goodman Simulation Center
opens to serve staff

The recently opened Goodman Simulation Center, located at SHC near the main operating rooms, offers medical staff state-of-the-art simulation of numerous surgical and interventional procedures.

The Center builds on the work of The Center for Immersive and Simulation Learning (CISL) led by David Gaba, associate dean for immersive and simulation-based learning and professor of anesthesia, as well as the research and planning of Thomas Krummel, professor and chair of surgery.

“I hope you will take time to visit the Goodman Simulation Center — and most importantly to use it,” said Dean Philip A. Pizzo, when he announced the center’s opening in his Nov. 20 Dean’s Newsletter.
