HONORS & AWARDS:

JOHN MORTON, associate professor of surgery (general surgery), has been named SAGES (Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons) Young Investigator of the Year 2008. This award, from the world’s largest minimal access surgery society, is for demonstrated excellence in endoscopic surgical research by a SAGES member who has completed training within the past five years. The award is scheduled to be presented at the SAGES Annual Meeting in Philadelphia on April 10.

APPOINTMENTS & PROMOTIONS:

LINDA LOTSPEICH has been appointed as clinical professor (psychiatry and behavioral sciences).

HUGH M. O’BRODOVICH has been appointed as professor of pediatrics.

SUNITA SASTRY has been promoted to clinical associate professor (anesthesia).

SCOTT SOLTYS has been promoted to clinical assistant professor (radiation oncology).
