DVD or VHS copies are available for loan to the medical staff of a March 18 grand rounds by Robert M. Wachter, chief of the medical service and director of the 17-person hospitalist program at UCSF. Wachter, who is often credited with coining the term hospitalists, was also the featured speaker at the May 20 Stanford Hospital and Clinics General Staff Meeting. Both the Grand Rounds and the staff meeting focused on how Wachter believes improved safety systems can help prevent medical errors. To borrow a free copy of the March 18 rounds, please contact Julie Rex in the chief of staff's office, Jrex@stanfordmed.org, (650) 725-3038. |
