Letters seeking nominations for at-large medical staff members and deputy chiefs of service have been mailed to active medical staff members keyed to their respective services.

Two of the five at-large seats are open. (Most board seats are ex officio faculty service chief positions). At-large members represent both the academic and community constituencies across all services. The deputy chiefs are typically drawn from the non-fulltime faculty practice community in each service, although faculty service chiefs may appoint a deputy chief in those services without eligible community membersvices.

Election results are expected to be announced in the August/September Medical Staff Update, said Sandi Edgar, director of medical staff services, who may be contacted with questions at sedgar@stanfordmed.org.
