LARRY LEUNG, professor of medicine (hematology), has been elected into the Association of American Physicians.

 

OLIVIA MARTINEZ, associate professor of surgery, has been named the recipient of the Fujisawa Basic Science Achievement Award, honoring investigators at the associate professor level who have made substantial contributions to the field of transplantation medicine. The American Society of Transplantation presented the award at the American Transplant Congress in May in Boston.

RONALD LEVY, Robert K. an Helen K. Summy Professor and chief of the Division of Oncology, will be featured in a special celebration honoring his accomplishments to cancer research during a broadcast on the Discovery Health Channel on July 8th. In ceremonies May 10 at Stanford, Levy received the 2004 JE Wallace Sterling Lifetime Alumni Achievement Award in recognition of his groundbreaking work in cancer immunotherapy and cancer vaccines.

STEPHEN HUHN has been promoted to associate professor of neurosurgery and associate professor, by courtesy, of pediatrics.

 

JOHN LAMBERTI has been appointed to associate professor of cardiothoracic surgery.

GEORGE VAN HARE has been promoted to Professor of Pediatrics.
