GUEST SPEAKER - Robert M. Wachter,
professor, associate chairman of medicine and chief of the medical service, UC San Francisco. He is the co-author of a new book, "Internal Bleeding: What we Need to Know and Do to Cure our Epidemic of Medical Mistakes." The author/speaker, a pioneer of the "hospitalist" concept, makes the case that medicine can learn from industry how to avoid dangerous mistakes.
